Despite Nigeria’s recent AFCON defeat, actor and pastor Yul Edochie has expressed his pride in his country.

He said it was a divine prophesy and posted on Instagram that Nigeria will triumph. But after Nigeria’s defeat, online users attacked Edochie, especially the actress Sarah Martins, who said she knew Nigeria would lose when he made the prophecy.

Martins contended that Edochie’s endeavour to demonstrate to Nigerians his divine calling was a failure.

“ it is well. Thank you Super Eagles. Getting to the finals is as good as winning. We are proud of you all. Great performance in the tournament”.
“I love my country Nigeria. Win or lose, good or bad, we’ve been here. Better days ahead. Giant of Africa.”
