[22] “Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
[23] “He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias”.
*MESSAGE:*
☆☆☆ The Jews wanted to know who John the Baptist really was.
☆☆☆ John recognised that he had a “voice” and an assignment to carry out.
☆☆☆ John the Baptist knew he had a destiny to fulfill.
☆☆☆ Therefore, he declared to them, “I am the voice…”.
☆☆☆ Many people today don’t know they have a “voice”.
☆☆☆ The troubles and the challenges of life have silenced the “voice” of many.
☆☆☆ Barrenness has caged the “voice” of many women in their husbands’ homes.
■■■ Hannah’s voice was caged by Penninah until a son, Samuel, came. Read 1 Samuel 1:6,19-20.
■■■ Failure silenced the voice of Peter until Jesus stepped into his situation. Read Luke 5:1-7.
■■■ Sorrow and reproach blocked the mouth of Jabez amongst his brethren until he cried unto God for a change of situation. Read 1 Chronicles 4 : 9-10.
■■■ The circumstances of life seized the voice of Jephthah amongst his brethren until his situation changed and he became a sought after. Read Judges 11:1-10.
☆☆☆ Today, fear of the uncertainty of life has shut the mouth and silenced the “voice” of several others.
■■■ Fear of the Midianites and the Amalekites silenced Gideon and he went into hiding until God sent his angel to challenge and encourage him. Read Judges 6:11-16.
☆☆☆ There are several others today who don’t know they have a voice and a destiny to fulfill.
☆☆☆ Fear of the unknown has silenced and caged the voice of many people.
☆☆☆ Circumstances of life might have caged your voice as the head of the family.
☆☆☆ As the most elderly in your family, due to poverty, you might have lost your “voice” and authority, over the family, to your younger ones.
☆☆☆ Your younger siblings may now be seen as the head of the family because he/she is rich.
☆☆☆ In whatever way the circumstances and the challenges of life have caged your voice, from today, you will recognise and recover your voice in Jesus name.
*PRAYERS:*
1. Oh God my father, don’t allow my voice to be caged by the challenges of life.
2. The wickednessof men will not silence me where my voice should be heard.
3. Oh yea God of heaven, please give my life a meaningful meaning from today in Jesus name.
4. My father, my father, where people have been asking where is my God, please Lord; give them an answer of peace on my behalf in Jesus name.
5. Father, where I have been written off by men, make me a force to reckon with in Jesus name.
6. My father, my creator, let my life be that which you have programmed it to be in Jesus name.
7. Oh yea God of heaven, let the crisis that I am passing through now catapult me to my next level of greatness in Jesus name.
8. My father and my God, let the sorrow of today result in my tomorrow’s joy.
9. Father, please don’t allow my life to play out the evil script written by the enemy of my life.
10. I refuse to become an object of reproach and rejection to my generation in Jesus name.
11. I will not end my journey through this life in shame in Jesus name.
12. Father, please Lord, beautify my life with beautiful testimonies that will draw others to Christ.
13. Oh God my father, let all my mockers bite their fingers in regret in Jesus name.
14. Begin to appreciate God because he has answered your prayers and your case is settled in Jesus mighty name.
*PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:*
For you this day, I decree, the heavens shall empower you to recognise your “voice”.
I decree and declare, no power, no intimidation and no force, shall be strong enough to silence your “voice” in Jesus name.
I prophesy, in the midst of your colleagues, your “voice” shall be heard.
I decree, in the heat of the challenges of life, your “voice” shall not be caged.
In your family, I decree and declare, your “voice” shall become an authority.
Woman, I prophesy, God shall raise your “voice” above every form of barrenness in Jesus name.
I decree, declare and prophesy, those who are trying to cage your “voice” shall the Lord use to become a “voice” for you where you will be needed.
On the day of your honour, I decree, your “voice” shall not be caged.
May you recognise the reason for your existence.
You will not fall below the expectations of God for your life.
You have a “voice” and that “voice” shall not go down at the peak of your greatness in Jesus name.
You are the “voice” for your generation, step out and manifest.
