You have questions to answer, Mohbad’s sister in-law tells wife
Narimot, the sister-in-law to late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad, has called out her step-sister and the latter’s wife, Wunmi, for allegedly stealing her husband’s phone.
In a series of live videos on Instagram, Karimot alleged that Wunmi stole one of Mohbad’s phones from his mother and had refused to release it.
She also alleged that the phone was supposed to be part of the other phones collected by the police as evidence in the investigation into the singer’s death in controversial circumstances.
She said, “Just to let you know that there are lot of evidence (sic) on the ground. The way you stole the phone from Mohbad’s mother’s house, every of those evidence is with me. And I repeat, if Wunmi did not steal Mohbad’s phone, let the blood we share be the judge between the both of us.
“The police requested for all of Mohbad’s phones, thinking they had collected all, not knowing that there was still a phone they hadn’t seen. I was there at Panti on the day the police collected the phones.”
She added, “You guys don’t know the things I know. Let it be clear to you now, you can’t bring me down, and I will not keep shut, as long as I am doing the right thing.”
She also stated that she had made peace with Mohbad’s father after supporting Wunmi and her mother.
She said, “You guys have been doing this for a long time. When I was lying to Mohbad’s father, you guys were so happy. Now, I have asked him for forgiveness, (and) all of you are against me.”
Karimot also claimed that Wunmi had a secret account in her mother’s name with which they used to collect money, adding that the mother had advised Wunmi to remarry a year after Mohbad’s death.
In another video, she claimed that Wunmi and the late singer had a fight that damaged the railing in his house shortly before his death.
“Please, ask Wunmi what happened to the railings in Mohbad’s house. They didn’t just get spoilt now. It was the fight they had that fateful night during which they beat themselves up, that led him to go calling a nurse. Wunmi is a prostitute, who is sleeping around with Lekki men.”
