Judges 2:6-23.
Judges 3:6.
Message
☆☆☆ Reading through these verses of the scripture, you will realize that the first generation of the children of Israel were convicted of their sins, they worked in the ways of God and possessed their possessions. Read Judges 2:4-7.
☆☆☆ However, the next generation forsook God and they suffered, they were neglected by God and their enemies were allowed to capture them. Read Judges 2:10-15.
☆☆☆ Beloved, no man can disobey God and go free.
☆☆☆ Saul disobeyed God and he was rejected. Read 1 Samuel 15:22-23.
☆☆☆ To receive power over sin and disobedience, please take note of the following????
1. Only God can give man the power over sin and disobedience.
☆☆☆ The righteousness of man, before God, is like a filthy rag. Read Isaiah 64:6.
☆☆☆ Stop behaving like a Pharisee before God. Only a Pharisee will see himself as righteous while others are considered sinners.
“The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican” – Luke 18:11.
☆☆☆ Don’t justify yourself beloved, acknowledge your weakness and allow God to help you.
2. Run to God and stop trying to help yourself.
☆☆☆ Thinking that you can overcome sin and disobedience on you own shall surely lead you deeper into sin.
☆☆☆ No wonder the bible counsels????
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding”.
[6] “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” – Proverbs 3:5-6.
☆☆☆ Don’t hide yourself from the One who can deliver you from the power of sin and disobedience.
3. God loves sinners but hates sin.
☆☆☆ It is an error for anyone to preach or teach otherwise.
☆☆☆ Today some people believe that their sins are too many for God to forgive. This is an error.
☆☆☆ For the bible says ????
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” – Romans 5:8.
☆☆☆ Beloved, there is no amount of sin that the blood of Jesus cannot wash away.
☆☆☆ Again the bible declares ????
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” – Isaiah 1:18.
4. Confess your sins before God and repent.
☆☆☆ Today, many people are too proud to run back to God to confess and forsake their sinful ways.
☆☆☆ Return to God in all humility, confess and forsake your sins and God will abundantly pardon.
✓✓ For the bible says ????
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin”.
[8] “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us”.
[9] “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” – 1John 1:7-9.
5. Return no more to your sinful ways.
☆☆☆ If you are still comfortable doing those old things again and again, then you haven’t repented.
☆☆☆ Repentance is to do those old things no more. Remember what Jesus told the woman caught in adultery ????
“She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more” – John 8:11.
☆☆☆ You too can sin no more. All you need is the boldness to confess and repent.
6. Obedience is righteousness.
☆☆☆ It doesn’t matter what other preachers are preaching, every obedient child of God is considered righteous before God.
☆☆☆ God says “thou shall not”, if you obey, then you are righteous. This equally follows that every disobedience is a sin.
☆☆☆ Abraham believed God and God counted it to him for righteousness ????
“And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness” – Genesis 15:6.
7. Please note that once saved is not forever saved.
☆☆☆ Some people believe they can keep committing sins and come back to God for he will continue to forgive. This is another error.
☆☆☆ Others equally and erroneously believe that Jesus died on the cross and had forgiven all their sins, including those yet to be committed. What a great error.
☆☆☆ Such people claim that grace covers all. Their own bible may be different from mine.
☆☆☆ For the bible clearly stated in Romans 6:1????
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
CONCLUSION
Christ still forgives sins, don’t be too comfortable in your sins; run to him today and he will abundantly pardon.
☆☆☆ For the bible says ????
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” – Matthew 11:28.
ALTAR CALL
☆☆☆Are you out there and you want to be free from the power of sin and disobedience, run to God and surrender your life to him now.
☆☆☆ Don’t allow pride to deny you of your salvation today.
☆☆☆ For the bible says ????
“For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” 2 Corinthians 6:2.
☆☆☆ You can do that right in your closet, tell Jesus you are sorry of your sins, confess them to him, ask him to forgive you and promise him never to sin again and he will surely help you and forgive you.
☆☆☆ Run to Jesus today, please come; he’s waiting for you.
PRAYERS
1. Father uproot from me every heart of stone and implant in me the spirit of obedience.
2. I refuse to be like Saul who disobeyed God and was rejected.
3. Father, give me the grace to obey you in all the days of my life oh Lord.
4. Please Lord, don’t allow the devil to mislead me just like he did to Adam and Eve.
5. I receive power over sins and every form of disobedience in Jesus name. Please help me Lord.
6. Please Lord, don’t leave me behind when you come for the saints.
7. Give me the grace to keep my garment clean and spotless till I see you in glory.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
✓✓ I pray for a particular individual out there, receive grace to go and sin no more.
✓✓ I command that sinful habit that you are struggling with to die right now in Jesus name.
✓✓ You that stubborn nature, die now in Jesus name.
✓✓ You that spirit of drunkenness, I curse you out of that brother right now in Jesus name.
✓✓ Someone out there, you love to do the right thing but always doing the wrong things, I decree, the Lord shall uproot from your life that sinful nature in Jesus name.
✓✓ I command the spirit that is always pushing you the wrong way to lose its hold over your life now in Jesus name.
✓✓ Those who are dinning and winning in sin, may the mercy and the grace of God search you out today in Jesus name.
✓✓ May you not go the way of Samson in Jesus name.
✓✓ You will not die unfulfilled in Jesus name.
