WHEN THE BENEFACTOR HUNTS THE LIFE OF THE BENEFICIARY – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin

1 Kings 11:28 KJV.
“And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph”.
MESSAGE
☆☆☆ For a better understanding of this message, let’s quickly look at who a benefactor is and who is a beneficiary.
☆☆☆ A benefactor is somebody who gives a gift, often money to a charity.
☆☆☆ Someone who performs good or noble deeds.
☆☆☆ While a beneficiary is someone who benefits or receives an advantage.
☆☆☆ When we now relate our main bible verse for today to the above definitions, we now know that Solomon was a benefactor to Jeroboam who was the beneficiary of Solomon’s noble deeds.
☆☆☆ The question now is: why must Solomon benefactor who made Jeroboam beneficiary a ruler, now began to hunt the life of his beneficiary.
☆☆☆ This is the crux of the message for today.
☆☆☆ Jeroboam was a servant of Solomon, 1 Kings 11:26.
☆☆☆ He was very hard working and Solomon promoted him.
☆☆☆ Solomon made him a ruler over the house of Joseph, just like a governor.
☆☆☆ However, God saw in Jeroboam a good substitute to Solomon.
☆☆☆ God now decided to give ten tribes of the kingdom of Israel to Jeroboam, 1 Kings 11:31.
☆☆☆ When Solomon got to know that God had decided to elevate Jeroboam, the bible says ????
“Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon” – 1 Kings 11:40.
☆☆☆ Beloved, the one who recommends you for promotion today may be seeking after your life the next moment.
☆☆☆ Your predecessor may be the one digging your grave.
☆☆☆ Some leaders never expect their subordinates to be higher than them.
☆☆☆ It may interest you to know that your boss, who claims to love you today, it’s because you are still under his supervision.
☆☆☆ You may become his enemy tomorrow, the next moment God lifts you up beyond his expectation.
☆☆☆ Let me quickly say here that not all gifts are from sincere hearts.
☆☆☆ Some gifts are like stick and carrot offer.
☆☆☆ The gift may be a bait to destroy someone considered as an enemy.
☆☆☆ That was the experience of David in the hands of Saul. When the latter offered his daughter as wife to David. Read 1 Samuel 18:22-25.
☆☆☆ One thing is so sure and very clear, promotion comes from God. Read Psalm 75:6-7.
☆☆☆ God will therefore use men to fulfill his counsel.
☆☆☆ God can even use your enemy to recommend you for promotion without him being conscious of his actions. Read Esther 6:6-12.
☆☆☆ When God is the one behind your success, your enemies are only fighting a lost battle.
PRAYERS
1. Father, please don’t allow me to bite the finger that once fed me.
2. Oh God my father, don’t allow me to accept any gift that will become a death trap to me.
3. Father, anyone who wants to use his connection to oppress me, please disconnect him from the surface of the earth.
4. Evil benefactors, I reject your offers in Jesus name.
5. Oh God my father, lift me up, far beyond the reach of my enemies in Jesus name.
6. Father, let those planning my fall become the foundation for my rising in Jesus name.
7. My father, my father, connect me with my destiny helpers in Jesus name.
8. Devil, you cannot use my benefactor against me.
9. I confess with my mouth, I will rise above all odds.
10. Please Lord, turn my pains to my gains in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
For you this day, I therefore decree, the Lord shall lift you up beyond the reach of your enemies in Jesus name.
I decree and declare, every secret meeting your enemies are holding, behind closed doors, shall result in your elevation in Jesus name.
I prophesy, your enemies shall become your stepping stones to higher grounds in Jesus name.
Every enemy of your star and glory shall fight a lost battle in Jesus name.
Jeroboam saw the end of Solomon, you will see the end of your enemies in Jesus name.
You will not die in the battle field of life in Jesus name.
You will succeed against all odds in Jesus name.
Victory is yours in Jesus name.
