Yesterday, June 19, 2024, marks the official opening of campaigns for the Ondo 2024 Governorship Election. Comrade Babatunde Francis Alli, the candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), unveiled his comprehensive manifesto, promising five major interventions aimed at transforming Ondo State. Addressing supporters and the press, Alli outlined his vision under the campaign name “MAJEMIMAYE”, signifying a new era of inclusivity and socio-economic development for the state.
Alli’s manifesto focuses on five major agendas to address the most pressing issues facing the state. First, he promises to tackle Security via Communal Development. “For the first time in Ondo State, we will have the Ministry of Internal Security in preparation for the impending security challenges associated with economic development, being an agenda of ours. Second, he aims to invest in Human Capital Development via Critical Educational Interventions. Third, Alli is committed to Economic Development via Production. Fourth is Social Development via Critical Infrastructural Development in social amenities, healthcare, youth, sport and innovation, as well as transportation with dignity, to ensure that every citizen has access to essential services. Finally, he promises to strengthen Tourism via Hospitality.
Reacting to questions after the presentation, Alli said, “Ours has been a journey of purpose since March 2024 when we began traversing the length and breadth of the State, the gospel of the KEY, the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP). Our fire has been further flamed by the realities on the ground as we have seen first-hand, the condition of the average Sunshiner, which is nothing less than worrisome.”
“The hunger brought upon us by the APC mal-administration at the National level and heavily reinforced in Ondo State by lack of governance will be tacked by implementing sustainable agricultural programs and mainstreaming our farmers towards agricultural revolution. We aim to improve infrastructure like roads to enhancing transportation networks for the impending economic revolution, we are committed to restoring social amenities, going full throttle for medical tourism, ensure that every citizen has access to essential services, engage the youth through targeted programs that promote skills development and employment opportunities, and by the grace of God, we will strengthen local governance and community defense through the creation of Community Development Associations (CDAs) across the state, not divisively as they recently did but equitable” He declared.
In conclusion, Alli expressed his unwavering confidence in the ability of the PRP to bring about meaningful change in Ondo State. “Who says we will not be saved from these mal-administrations and ineptitude of the ruling party? Who says our people will not be delivered?

he passionately declared, rallying his supporters for the journey ahead.
