hot zone for unlawful operations, Council Boss Says After his intervention led to Release of kidnapped Woman
In his usual manner of taking the bull by the horns in resolving every crux matter faced by his people, the executive chairman of Ivo local government area, Hon. Chief Ajah Emmanuel Ogbonna (Confirm) has intervened in securing the release of an abducted farmer from Amonye, in Ishiagu community, extraction of ivo local government area, Ebonyi State.
This was disclosed to our heritage reporter in a news released and signed by Ejiofor Egu, Press Secretary to Executive Chairman, Ivo LGA
According to him, The ugly incident occurred on 18th July, 2023 at the farm setting of Amonye according to helpless eye witnessed while the woman(Mrs. Onachukwu Nkechinyere ) was doing some work on her farmland and got surrounded by some men of under world who whisked her away to unknown destination, and contacted the family the next day while demanding a huge ransome.
The impatience abductors who threatened to kill her put the family’s, neighbours and others into turmoil as they resume public tasks of monetary donation to meet up with their target, thus the outcry draw the attention of the executive chairman, Hon. Chief Ajah Emmanuel Ogbonna (Confirm) who has shown more concern and achieved unprecedented good results in security network of the Council and shall continue to ensure crime-free society, peace and protection of life and properties.
Out of his relentless effort, the chairman swung in to action through a series of investigations and strategies by the Anti-kidnapping unit and other security agencies hence the rescue and release of Mrs. Onachukwu Nkechinyere and handed to her family members on the 22nd July, 2023.
According to the chairman, the security agencies are seriously working round the clock on this matter and must bring the perpetrators to book, we have success stories in security network and shall continue to fetch out staunch criminals who think our community is a scene to get rich through kidnapping and nefarious activities, and promised to make ivo local government area a hot zone for unlawful operations.
Thus, urged all members of the community to go about their daily business while the security agencies continue to carry out their objective responsibly in ensuring their safety.
