BN MEDIA Film Academy has announced an upcoming film, Like Filtered Water.
Like Filtered Water is a high school film that talks about the emotional impact of stuttering on young students. It follows Dave, a shy, timid boy, who dreads public speaking due to his stuttering. Being a subject of constant ridicule in the class, he sees himself as an odd fellow and feels inferior despite his academic prowess.
Dave’s experiences run the gamut of human emotion, from dark to funny and triumphant. The movie also weaves in educational vignettes that help illuminate some of the mysteries and questions that surround stuttering.
The movie, although still under production, has already garnered reactions since the announcement was made by the Director, Benneth Nwankwo.
