Two Nigerians remanded for raping 17-year-old in UK
The Northampton Crown Court has charged two Nigerian men, Solomon Adebiyi and Tosin Dada, with multiple rapes in the United Kingdom.
A statement by the Northamptonshire Police said Adebiyi, 39, and Dada, 34, had consensual sex with a 17-year-old girl on March 12, 2022.
The two men were found guilty by the UK court following the expiration of their nine-day trial last week and charged with three counts of rape each.
“Both men found unanimously guilty by the jury on all charges after eight hours of deliberation,” the statement partly read.
Adebiyi and Dada, residents of Stanley Street, Northampton, and Knox Road, Wellingborough respectively, were remanded into custody before their sentencing at Northampton Crown Court slated for October 25, 2024.
