Troops kill ‘six terrorists’ in Sambisa forest
Troops of the Nigerian joint task force under Operation Hadin Kai have killed six suspected terrorists in a clearance operation in Sambisa forest, Borno state.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focusing on the Lake Chad region, said the troops launched an offensive against the terrorist camps in the Geizuwa area of Bama LGA of Borno.
Makama noted that the operation was conducted with operatives of the civilian joint task force (CJTF).
“They advanced from Geizuwa and cleared terrorist enclaves in Sherori, Aljijari, Gajeri, and Arenari,” the report stated.
“Recovered items included two dane guns, medications, soft drinks, sanitary supplies, and 15 motorcycle tubes.”
Makama noted that a CJTF member was injured during the operation and was taken to a medical facility for treatment.
