Tragedy As House Majority Leader Loses Son In Fatal Auto Crash
Faith Adedoyin, a 500-level Accounting student at Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, tragically lost his life in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State.
The late Faith Adedoyin was the eldest son of Mr. Sanjo Adedoyin (Sanjay), the Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, around Ilobu-Okinni-Osogbo in Osun State, as he and fellow students were returning from their visit to the waterfall.
Reports indicate that the bus carrying the students caught fire, though the cause of the accident remains unknown at this time.
The university’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Lekan Fadeyin, confirmed the accident, acknowledging that lives were indeed lost. However, he was unable to provide specific details as he awaited further information.
Anuoluwa Adeboye, the Students’ Union President of the institution, also confirmed that the excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall had been organized as part of the final-year students’ activities following their first-semester examinations.
