Top Yoruba monarch Joins Ancestors

The Olojo of Ojo in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba (Alh.) Olayinka Gbolagade Tiamiyu II JP, has joined his ancestors.

It was gathered that Oba Tiamiyu died late Sunday.

Reacting to his death on Sunday, the lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun state at the National Assembly, Bamidele Salam extended his heartfelt condolences to the people of Ojo.

 

Rep. Salam described the late Oba as a monarch of great stature and character, whose legacy of service and dedication to his people will never be forgotten.

He also expressed his solidarity with the family of the late Oba and the people of Ojo during this difficult time.

“Oba Olayinka Gbolagade Tiamiyu II was a father, a guide, and a pillar of strength to his people.

“His reign brought peace and prosperity, and his wisdom will be dearly missed.

“On behalf of the people of Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Ojo community,” he said.

He prayed that Almighty Allah grants the soul of Kabiyesi Al-Janah Firdaous and provide comfort to his family and the people of Ojo.

The late Oba’s passing has left a significant void in the Ojo Kingdom, but his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
