In 2007, he was the candidate of Action Congress(AC) to represent Owo/Ose federal constituency. Again, in 2014, he was an aspirant on the platform of All progressive Congress of Nigeria (APC) to represent Owo/ Ose federal constituency. In 2018, he was an aspirant on the platform of APC to represent Owo/Ose Federal constituency. Despite the electoral outcomes that did not favour him, Dr. Owoka never defected, never wavered, and never betrayed the party. Rather, he remained steadfast, working assiduously behind the scenes to nurture the soul of the APC and champion its grassroots mobilisation. Such resilience is rare and worthy of emulation in an era when political consistency is often sacrificed on the altar of opportunism. This is the type of loyal progressive mind that can pilot the ship of the party to the achievable end in Ondo State.
And with all these qualities, he will be totally loyal to the Governor and to the party as an entity.
