_Psalm 150:1-6 KJV
Praise ye the Lord . Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
[2] Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
[3] Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
[4] Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
[5] Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
[6] Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord . Praise ye the Lord ._
*MESSAGE*
Giving thanks to God is more of a command, that must be obeyed; rather than something done only when it is convenient.
Thanksgiving is more appreciated by God when it is offered while on the waiting list of God.
There are challenges here and there but while trusting God for miracles which are yet to manifest, thank him.
At the peak of the challenges of Job, he composed one of our most popular worship songs of today, in Job 19:25:
_I know my redeemer liveth,
I know my redeemer liveth,
I know my redeemer liveth,
He liveth for ever more._
The bible enjoins us to give thanks in every situation of life.
_”In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18._
☆☆☆ “In everything give thanks”, means when you are happy, give thanks.
☆☆☆ In times of pains, sorrow and agonies; give thanks.
Beloved, our daddy in the Lord, Pastor E. A Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has encouraged us again and again that we should cultivate the habit of praising God.
He said we are too used to miracles such that we cannot appreciate God when we listen to testimonies.
Many of us look at certain miracles as too small to thank God for.
The qualifications that gave you a job are the same credentials someone has but doesn’t have a job.
Be grateful to God.
The prayer you prayed and God answered, is the same prayer somebody is still praying without any success yet.
Be thankful unto God.
The road you use safely on a daily basis, is the same road where many others died.
Appreciate God for his mercy.
The bed you used in the hospital, got healed and was discharged, on the same bed someone died earlier before you were admitted.
Be thankful to God for life.
The same rain that fell and made your field produce good crops, is the same rain that destroyed someone else crops.
Bless God for his grace.
☆☆☆ We must learn to appreciate and be grateful to God at all times.
☆☆☆ Remember that whatever you have is not by your own power, might or qualifications but rather by the grace of the Almighty God.
☆☆☆ This is why the bible encourages us to always give praises to God for his mercies that we enjoy always 👇
_”O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever” – 1 Chronicles 16 : 34._
*WHY YOU SHOULD GIVE THANKS TO GOD.*
1. Only those who give God thanks will be allowed into the courts of God.
_”Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name” – Psalm 100: 4_
☆☆☆ This means that anyone who doesn’t learn how to give thanks to God will remain outside his courts
☆☆☆ And those who are outside the courts of God have shut the doors of blessings, success and breakthrough against themselves.
2. When you give God thanks, your tank will be full.
☆☆☆ Giving God thanks will surely lead to increase.
☆☆☆ Jesus got 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes, he gave God thanks and the 5 loaves and 2 fishes multiplied to feed 5000 men, not counting women and children.

And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude._
_[20] And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
[21] And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

☆☆☆ When you give thanks, the not enough will become more than enough.
☆☆☆ Learn to praise God always.
3. Giving thanks to God leads to victory over dead situations.

_John 11:41-44 KJV
Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
[42] And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it , that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
[43] And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
[44] And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

☆☆☆ Jesus gave thanks to God at the tomb of Lazarus, he got victory over death and Lazarus came back to life.
☆☆☆ When you give God thanks, every good thing that is dead will surely come back to life.
4. Thanksgiving makes God to take over your battles.
_2 Chronicles 20:22 KJV
And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten._
☆☆☆ When the children of Judah started praising God, God took over their battle and they became victorious without raising a finger in battle to fight.
5. When answer to prayers seems delayed, give God thanks and a miracle will occur.
■■■ Life testimony.
There was a Christian sister living in the same compound with one wicked man. She offended this wicked man and didn’t know. She was pregnant and the wicked man conjured her pregnancy into a demonic calabash and hung it on the wall of his room. The time of delivery came and the lady couldn’t deliver. Prayer warriors were invited to pray and nothing happened. Then their leader now said that daddy G.O had encouraged us to praise God when it seems answers to prayers are delayed. They started praising God and the wicked man heard them shouting and praising God. He assumed there must have been a miracle because Christians hardly praise God except a miracle happens. So he concluded the lady must have delivered. So he went inside his room in anger, cursing all the demons, took the calabash from the wall and smashed it on the floor. At that point the lady delivered at the other end and the praises increased.
☆☆☆ This is the power of praise.
6. When you WORSHIP God, he mounts his WARSHIP on your behalf.
_2 Chronicles 20:23-24 KJV
For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them : and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
[24] And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped._
☆☆☆ You can see how the enemies helped to destroy one another just because God had mounted his warship to defend his people.
7. Worshippers of God can never be stranded.
☆☆☆ Paul and Silas were put in prison awaiting death. They decided to worship and praise God, God arose on their behalf. The chains holding them bound and stranded were cut off.
☆☆☆ They regained their freedom from the captivity of Herod.
_Acts 16:25-26 KJV
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
[26] And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed._
*CAN YOU PLEASE WORSHIP GOD FOR A MOMENT FORGETTING ALL YOUR CHALLENGES.*
■■■■ At this point, please don’t ask God for anything but to praise and worship God in the beauty of his holiness.
■■■■ You will surely experience his wonders without number in Jesus name.
*PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:*
Because you have praised and worshipped God today, he will arise and take over your battles in Jesus name.
I command every chain holding you bound to be loosed in Jesus name.
May you not be ungrateful to God for all his benefits that you enjoy in Jesus mighty name.
In your days of plenty, may you not forget God.
May you not take God for granted.
I decree, you will not remember God only in the days of hardship.
I decree and declare, the challenges of life will not shut your mouth from praising God.
In your comfort zone, may you not be too comfortable to neglect praising God.
May you become a chronic worshipper of God that He will see you as a man/woman after his own heart in Jesus mighty name.
