Genesis 13:14-15 KJV.
“And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward”:
[15] “For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever”.
☆☆☆ When God called Abraham in Genesis 12:1, the instruction was clear 
“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee”.
☆☆☆ However, the bible recorded that “Abraham took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son” along with him. Read Genesis 12:5.
☆☆☆ As long as Lot remained with Abraham, the promises of God concerning Abraham’s life could not be fulfilled.
☆☆☆ But as soon as Lot was separated from Abraham, the promises of God became manifest.
■ ■ ■ Beloved, what is that “Lot” in your own life?
☆☆☆ Every disobedience to the instructions or commandments of God, stands as a “Lot”.
☆☆☆ I know that you know the bible and the ‘Big’ sins which can stand against the fulfilment of God’s promises in the life of a man.
☆☆☆ Now let us consider the ‘small’ sins that we often overlook
☆☆☆ Is it anger? That could be your own “Lot” beloved, this “Lot” must die.
☆☆☆ Do you keep malice? It is a “Lot”. It will hinder the fulfilment of God’s promises in your life, get rid of it now.
☆☆☆ Do you find it so easy and convenient to lie? Put that “Lot” behind you beloved.
☆☆☆ Every bad habit you know but find so difficult to let go, prayerfully ask God to separate you from this “Lot”.
☆☆☆ Do you back bite ? You must get rid of this “Lot” beloved.
☆☆☆ “Lot” represents any sin in the life of a man that will not allow the promises of God to be fulfilled until it is done away with.
James 4:17 gives the best description of what sin is
“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin”.
☆☆☆ Abraham knew that the presence of Lot in his life was against the instructions which God gave to him and yet he held on to Lot.
☆☆☆ God does not force any man beloved. He tells you what he expects you to do and allows you to take a decision.
☆☆☆ For the bible says
“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” – Micah 6:8.
☆☆☆ God didn’t separate Lot from Abraham but Abraham himself took the necessary step to do the needful. Read Genesis 13:8-12
☆☆☆ Prayerfully discover your own “Lot” today and allow it to die before it destroys you.
*PRAYERS*
1. Oh God my father, help me to identify my own “Lot” and give me the grace to let go.
2. My father, my father, let every “Lot” along my path as I journey through life die today in Jesus name.
3. I receive grace and boldness to sink my “Lot” before he sinks my destiny.
4. Father, please separate me from every “Lot” in my life in Jesus name.
5. No “Lot” shall be strong enough to separate me from the living God.
6. Father, let your promises concerning me be fulfilled during my life time in Jesus name.
7. Oh God my creator, don’t allow me to become a bad example to others in Jesus name.
8. Father, please don’t allow my life to become the habitation for “Lot” in Jesus name.
9. I refuse to be at peace with every “Lot” in my life.
10. My life is in your hands oh God, make me a vessel unto honour ready for your use.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
I pray for somebody today, may you not disobey divine instructions in Jesus name.
Receive grace and boldness to deal with your own “Lot” in Jesus name.
Whatever you have been holding on to and yet standing against the fulfilment of God’s promises in your life, shall be uprooted from today in Jesus name.
Abraham knew no peace as long as Lot remained with him. I decree, that Lot that has withdrawn peace from your marriage shall die today in Jesus mighty name.
Your “Lot” shall not live but die in Jesus name.
The promises of God concerning your life shall be fulfilled without any further delay in Jesus name.
You will possess that land which the Lord has prepared for you in Jesus name.
I prophesy, every hindrance and obstacle on your way shall step you into the fulfillment of God’s promises in Jesus mighty name.
