SURRENDER YOUR “ROD” TO GOD – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin
TEXT:
Exodus 4:2-3 KJV.
“And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod”.
[3] “And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it”.
MESSAGE:
☆☆☆ What is that in thine hand? Moses might have wondered why this kind of question from the All seeing and All knowing God.
☆☆☆ Was Moses actually aware of the power behind the rod in his hands? Was he aware of the kind of rod he was carrying?
☆☆☆ Beloved, before that encounter with God, Moses was carrying an ordinary rod in his hand.
☆☆☆ All the rod could do before then was to direct the flock. However, immediately Moses surrendered the same rod to God, power changed hands.
☆☆☆ The rod was no longer the rod of Moses but it had become the rod of God, read Exodus 4:20.
☆☆☆ It was the rod that later parted the Red sea, read Exodus 14:16; Isaiah 10:26. It was the same rod that brought water out of the Rock for the children of Israel when they were thirsty. Read Numbers 20:11.
☆☆☆ With the rod, Moses performed signs and wonders, read Exodus 4:17, 7:9-21.
☆☆☆ Through that same rod, God gave victory to the children of Israel over their enemies, read Exodus 17:9.
☆☆☆ My point: Beloved, whatever man surrenders to God cannot remain the same again.
☆☆☆ It is no longer under the control of man but God will take full control.
☆☆☆ When you surrender your marriage to God, you cannot be barren.
☆☆☆ When you surrender your business to God, it can never go bankrupt but unprecedented enlargement will be your testimony. Read Luke 5:1-7.
☆☆☆ When you surrender your job to God, you can never be stagnated or intimidated any more.
☆☆☆ When you surrender your children over to God, they can never be wayward but they shall be for signs and for wonders. Read Isaiah 8:18.
☆☆☆ When you surrender your entire family to God, the enemy cannot penetrate. Joshua 24:15.
PRAYERS:
1. Oh God my father, I surrender my entire life into your hand as a “rod”, use me for your glory Lord.
2. Oh God my creator, don’t allow me to hold tightly to whatever I need to surrender to you as a “rod”.
3. Father, take over my business as a “rod” in your hand to channel the part of greatness for many.
4. Father, please open my eyes to see those things I need to surrender for your use.
5. My father and my God, please separate from me whatever may be standing against the fulfilment of your purpose in my life.
6. Father, let my life go as it has been written concerning me.
7. My life shall become a wonder to many in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
✓✓ May your hands become the hand of God from today.
✓✓ May your fingers become the finger of God in Jesus name.
✓✓ May your business experience and begin to manifest divine presence in Jesus name.
✓✓ I decree, your family shall enjoy divine encouragement from today in Jesus name.
✓✓ The grace to fully surrender all to God, may you receive from today in Jesus mighty name.
✓✓ I pray for somebody out there, may you not hold on to that which you need to surrender as a “rod” for the use of God.
✓✓ May your entire life and children become a wonderful “rod” in the hand of the Almighty.
✓✓ Your business shall become a “rod” in the hand of God that will lead to your success story in Jesus name.
