Matthew 8:5-13 KJV
“And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him”.
[6] “And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented”.
[7] “And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him”.
[8] “The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed”.
[9] “For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man , Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it”.
[10] “When Jesus heard it , he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel”.
[11] “And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven”.
[12] “But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth”.
[13] “And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour”.
*MESSAGE*
☆☆☆ An army general came to Jesus pleading with him to heal his sick daughter.
☆☆☆ Jesus was busy attending to others and requested the general to wait.
☆☆☆ This general understood the power behind the spoken word and therefore prayed Jesus to “speak the word”.
☆☆☆ There is so much power behind the spoken word.
☆☆☆ Jesus demonstrated this as seen below 👇
☆☆☆ Jesus spoke to a fig tree
“And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away” – Matthew 21:19.
☆☆☆ The bible says we can do likewise also.
“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways” – Job 22:28.
☆☆☆ The word is a personality that can be sent on errand.
☆☆☆ The bible says:
“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” – Psalm 107:20.
☆☆☆ The word is a spirit being that can run errands for us.
☆☆☆ Unfortunately, the devil knows the power in the spoken word and he has been using this against a lot of people.
☆☆☆ The devil can even manipulate an individual to speak negative words against himself.
☆☆☆ Demonic agents too can also speak negative words into the lives of their victims.
☆☆☆ Hear this, the son of a herbalist spoke the word (incantations) he picked from his father against his friend.
☆☆☆ This young boy was playing with his friend and suddenly started speaking those words (incantations) he had picked from his father.
☆☆☆ His friend fell on the ground and was about passing out but for someone who quickly invited the haberlist himself who came to reverse the curse.
☆☆☆ There is power in the spoken word beloved.
☆☆☆ Please engage your tongue positively.
☆☆☆ Again the bible says:
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” – John 6:63.
☆☆☆ Watch what comes out of your mouth beloved.
☆☆☆ Such words can make or destroy destinies, even that of the speaker.
☆☆☆ A woman who was trusting God for a child but later spoke a word.
☆☆☆ She felt the reproach was too much for her to cope with.
☆☆☆ She now prayed and said: “Oh God, please give me a child even if there is no other one again after this”.
☆☆☆ The baby came and for 15 years, she was waiting for another child.
☆☆☆ She had forgotten the wrong word she spoke against herself.
☆☆☆ Thank God who had mercy on her and reversed the curse and other children came.
☆☆☆ Jacob spoke a word of death against Rachel unconsciously.
☆☆☆ Hear this:
“With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them” – Genesis 31:32.
☆☆☆ Of course, Jacob didn’t know Rachel had stolen the image.
☆☆☆ Eventually that word (curse) became effective and Rachel died.
“And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Beth-lehem. [20] And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel’s grave unto this day” – Genesis 35:19-20.
☆☆☆ Beloved, if you misplace something, please be patient and don’t start a rain of curses.
☆☆☆ If you are angry, please don’t speak. You may angrily speak against yourself.
☆☆☆ Some wrong words have been spoken against destinies.
☆☆☆ Some parents have, out of anger or ignorance, spoken negative words against their children.
☆☆☆ Such words are today standing against the destinies of such children.
*PRAYERS:*
1. Father, by your mercy, cancel every wrong word spoken against my life.
2. Father, I render ineffective those negative words spoken against my life by those who have authority over me.
3. My father, my father, please reverse every wrong pronouncement against my generation that is working against me.
4. My destiny shall not be caged by spoken words of the wicked.
5. Oh God my father, I step out of generational curses hitherto holding me captive.
6. I convert every negative word spoken against me to blessings in Jesus name
7. I withdraw every negative word I have unconsciously spoken against my life and destiny.
8. I declare myself free from evil effects of negative words.
*PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:*
■■■ You are delivered from generational curses holding down the progress of your life.
■■■ I decree, every wrong word spoken against your life is reversed today in Jesus name.
■■■ To somebody out there reading this prayer message, I cancel and render ineffective, every curse issued against your destiny by your parents.
■■■ I lose you this day from every power of wrong words holding you captive.
■■■ I prophesy, curses programmed against your life shall turn to blessings in Jesus name.
■■■ You are created and destined to succeed, go and succeed in Jesus name.
■■■ You are free and delivered in Jesus name.
