Sowore Calls On Nigerians To Reject Full-Blown Fascism Under Tinubu, Says ‘Darkest Days Are Here’
Sowore also condemned the arrests and detention of protesters and the crackdown on individuals since the 10-day nationwide demonstrations were held.
Omoyele Sowore, convener of the #RevolutionNow Movement, has called on Nigerians to resist the descent into full-blown fascism under the Bola Tinubu regime, urging them to stand firm against it.
According to the activist, “the darkest days are here, but we MUST all roundly reject and RESIST”.
“This is full-blown fascism. Let everyone take a position NOW,” he said.

On Sunday, Omoyele Sowore expressed his dismay over the arrest of journalist Adejuwon Soyinka by the Department of State Services (DSS) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, highlighting the ongoing trend of arrests and detentions since the #EndBadGovernance protests.
Sowore also condemned the arrests and detention of protesters and the crackdown on individuals since the 10-day nationwide demonstrations were held.
The former AAC presidential candidate wrote, “Just one #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria revolt, @officialABAT and his goons squad have detained 2000 protesters, killed 40 peaceful protesters, injured many, including 27 journalists, abducted whistleblowers, raided the offices of @NLCHeadquarters and harassed members of their families.
“I think this is why the NIA DG resigned; having helped @mbuhari to commit several atrocities, including the abduction and extraordinary rendition of @MaziNnamdiKanu, he couldn’t continue with the scale of violations and abuse planned for Nigerian by the Tinubu regime. Or maybe he was just below par for the task ahead!”

Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), submitted his resignation to President Tinubu on Saturday, informing State House reporters of his decision after a meeting with the President.
“After the briefing, I tendered my resignation and Mr President graciously approved and accepted the resignation,” Abubakar said.
Earlier, it was reported that the DSS, also known as the State Security Service (SSS) had detained Soyinka.
