Signature Forgery: Ifedore APC Stakeholders Blast Rasaq Obe, Says he is too Ambitious to become Deputy Governor
The All Progressives Congress Party Stakeholders of Ifedore Local Government, Ondo State has jointly and severally disassociate themselves from the unwholesome and dishonourable conduct and attitude of Engr. Rasaq Obe over the unlawful release and publications of some “classified public documents” via social media platforms.
This they say was with calculated intents of embarrassing the Ondo State Government and the name and person of Mr. Governor in particular and to purposely ignite unwarranted crisis against the executed Peace Accord brokered by the President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR in Abuja.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the stakeholders in Ifedore LGA of Ondo State and made available to newsmen in Àkúré the state capital.
The statement reads ‘That we the good people of Ifedore Local Government are embarrassed by this treacherous behaviour of Rasaq Obe, who is an unmerited beneficiary of the benevolent nature and candour of Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, CON that picked him as Commissioner over and above other more qualified, loyal and dedicated party members of the Local Government.’
‘We reasonably believed that, it is a gross breach of the Oath of
Confidentiality deposed and sworn to by Rasaq Obe when assuming
office as Commissioner. We want to emphatically avow that, Ifedore
people are honourable and peace loving people of the State as opposed to the negative trait exhibited by Rasaq Obe.’
They accused Obe of been over ambitious, ‘That his recent display and demonstration of inordinate ambition has been buried in the latent state before now, it is the current political atmosphere of the State that finally triggered his age-long overbearing ambition of becoming the immediate next “Deputy Governor” should
Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, CON die prematurely as they
earnestly envisage and seek in their camp.’
The statment further reads, ‘It is our fervent prayers that, Mr. Governor shall not die before his God-given time and that he shall finish well and strong as the de facto and dejure Governor of the State, that all his adversaries shall be utterly disgraced and be put to shame in Jesus name.
It is amazing to note that, by releasing a public document under his office to a purported Forensic Experts without the prerequisite authorization from the “Appropriate Authority” of the Government is by itself criminal and a flagrant breach of trust, administrative tenets and code of conduct.’
They queried why Engr. Rasaq Obe fail to use internal memo to officially inform and or notify the Attorney-General of the State.
‘We want to assert here that, this distasteful act of Engr. Rasaq Obe
did not come to us as surprise because he has recently declined his signature of standing in solidarity with his Benefactor/Principal.’
‘Ifedore Local Government people have unfailing faith and standing firm with Mr. Governor, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, CON and we abide by and having huge trust in the Peace
Accord of Mr. President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on the political wellbeing of our beloved sunshine State.’
They call on the Nigeria Police Force to take over the investigation as a matter of urgency.
‘Sir, allegation of this magnitude is to all intents and purposes criminal per se and the Nigeria Police Force is the body constitutionally saddled with the power to investigate and prosecute and not just a paid private tainted body.’
Finally, we collectively state here that, should any breach of the public peace arise against the Abuja Peace Accord mutually executed before the Presidency, it is the likes of Engr. Rasaq Obe and their co travelers are fanning the ember of discord in the state treating the said Abuja Peace Accord with flagrant disregard.,” said the stakeholders who signed below;
