Serial Thief, Lamidi Amoto Lucky Arrested In Kogi, Stolen Items Recovered
A suspected serial thief, Lamidi Amoto Lucky, was apprehended in the early hours of January 27, 2025, by operatives of the Kogi State Vigilante Service (KSVS) in Inorere Ogaminana, Adavi Local Government Area. The arrest took place at approximately 4:00 AM, following a tip-off and swift action by the KSVS Adavi Command.
According to a statement issued by KSVS spokesperson S.O. Saka on January 31, the suspect was initially found in possession of two Butterfly sewing machines, which raised suspicions of theft. During interrogation, Lucky admitted to stealing the sewing machines from Ihima in Okehi Local Government Area.
Further investigation revealed a broader pattern of theft, with Lucky reportedly involved in the theft of several other items, including one additional sewing machine, two smartphones (Itel A60 and Oppo Android phones), a gasoline-powered grinding engine, a 3kg gas cylinder, three 6-yard wrappers, two cooking pots, and two bed sheets.
All the stolen items were recovered by KSVS operatives. Lucky has been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Adavi Division, where he will face further investigation and legal action.
