Russian Missile Hits Ukraine Apartment Building,At Least 25 People injured
The Ukrainian president’s chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, accused Russia of “deliberately hitting an apartment block.”
Tragedy struck Kharkiv, Ukraine, as a Russian strike hit a 12-storey apartment block, injuring at least 25 people.
Mayor Igor Terekhov announced the devastating news on Telegram on Friday morning, revealing that the bomb partially destroyed the first and third floors of the residential building.
“The number of injured keeps increasing. As of now, there are 25 of them,” he added.
Rescue efforts were underway for inhabitants trapped on the third floor, Arab News reports.

In a separate development, Kyiv’s military office confirmed that anti-missile air defences were actively operational in the capital, safeguarding the city from potential threats.
Meanwhile, in southern Ukraine, the region of Odesa and its surrounding suburbs faced a relentless barrage of drones, resulting in at least two injuries, as reported by Governor Oleg Kiper.
Thursday witnessed another devastating drone attack on Kyiv, described as “massive” by Ukrainian authorities, leaving two individuals wounded and multiple buildings damaged, with fires erupting across several districts.
Since Russia’s invasion began on February 24, 2022, Kyiv has been consistently targeted by relentless drone and missile barrages, demonstrating Moscow’s unwavering resolve.
In response, Ukrainian authorities have been fervently seeking advanced air defense systems from their international allies to bolster their defenses against these aerial assaults.
