PURSUE THE PURSUER – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin
TEXT
Exodus 15:9 KJV.
“The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.
*MESSAGE*
☆☆☆ Beloved, when the enemies are after a man, they will not stop until they have fully brought him down.
☆☆☆ The devil will never back out until he has achieved his objective in full.
☆☆☆ Satan doesn’t give up. As a matter of fact, failure is not an excuse in his kingdom.
☆☆☆ The devil can attack an individual until he has finally wrecked the fellow.
☆☆☆ The devil can wipe out an entire family or even a generation. How do you explain an accident that claimed the lives of parents, their children and grandchildren!!
☆☆☆ Interestingly, the devil is a coward. Satan is like a boxer, who knows how and where to land his dangerous blows but he himself cannot survive such blows.
☆☆☆ Most times, the devil roars like a lion to terrify his victims but once you rise up against the devil to challenge him, he will run.
☆☆☆ For the bible says in James 4:7👇
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. *Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.*
☆☆☆ As dangerous, wicked and unrelenting the devil may be, resist him, fight back and he will run.
☆☆☆ However, when the devil flees, it’s for a season because he won’t go too far. He’s watching for his victim’s carelessness so that he can come back.
☆☆☆ For the bible says👇
“And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season” – Luke 4:13.
☆☆☆ Satan came to tempt Jesus and he was defeated but he left Jesus “for a season”.
☆☆☆ Thank God that he didn’t find another occasion to come back because Jesus didn’t give him the opportunity.
☆☆☆ Beloved, if the devil could tempt Jesus and he failed but only left Jesus for a season, then note that Satan won’t leave you forever.
☆☆☆ You must have a fighting spirit that will always resist the devil. Be ready to confront the devil headlong and your victory is sure.
☆☆☆ Beloved, I discovered something from the story of Elijah and Jezebel.
☆☆☆ Elijah was running away from his challenges (Jezebel) but God didn’t stop him.
☆☆☆ God even send his angel to feed Elijah twice so he could gain more strength to run.
☆☆☆ The angel of God said to Elijah👇
“And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee” – 1 Kings 19:7.
☆☆☆ Beloved, the angel of God was simply telling Elijah, “you have a long way to run”.
☆☆☆ Now let us look at how David confronted his own challenges with faith.
☆☆☆ David knew he had no equal experience in war with Goliath but he confronted Goliath in faith and God gave him victory. Read 1 Samuel 17:45-50.
*PRAYERS*
✓✓ Beloved, the monkey enjoys his life by jumping from one tree to the other. If the tree that the monkey needs to climb to get to the top, is now cut down; that monkey will be brought down.
✓✓ You will pray like this:
1. Father, please don’t give Satan the permission to wreck me.
2. Oh God my father, don’t allow me to experience a reversal of fortune as I journey through life.
3. Oh God my father, the ladder that I must climb to get to the top, please don’t allow the enemy to pull it down.
✓✓ Your own ladder may be your husband or your children.
4. Father, every evil axe targeting my ladder/tree of progress, I command it to go blunt now in Jesus name.
5. Oh Lord of hosts, don’t allow my remembrance to be wiped off from the surface of the earth.
✓✓ Beloved, some people have food at home to eat but no sound health to enjoy the food.
✓✓ Please pray like this;
6. Father, please, don’t put me in any condition whereby, somebody must persuade me before I can eat.
7. In the name of Jesus, I will not lose my head.
8. Devil, you have failed over my life and over my family.
9. Devil, keep moving because there is no parking space for you in my life.
10. I pursue, I overtake and I recover all in Jesus name.
*PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS*
✓✓ I pray for somebody out there and I decree, may you not be unfortunate as you journey through life in Jesus name.
✓✓ The devil will not cut your life short but you will live to fulfill the purpose of God for your life.
✓✓ I cover you, your family and your properties with the blood of Jesus. Devil has no access into your life anymore.
✓✓ Henceforth, every seasonal attacks and unexplainable failure are over in your life.
✓✓ You will not become a prey and food for the devil.
✓✓ Receive grace in abundance to resist and overcome the temptation of the devil.
✓✓ Any agent of the devil waiting to take advantage of your carelessness, will surely wait in vain.
✓✓ Jesus overcame, you are already an overcomer.
