PRESIDENTIAL INTERVENTION IN THE MATTER BEFORE THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT: JIMOH IBRAHIM VS AIYEDATIWA.

The decision of Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR to resolve dispute between Mr. Aiyedatiwa and the aggrieved aspirant, Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim who currently represents the good people of the Southern Senatorial District of Ondo State may have been greeted with mixed feelings given the indomitable nature and character of the billionaire business mogul whose in road to politics beyond the moment predates needless arguments of acclaimed contemporary stakeholders across party divide. Although worried, they are reluctant to appraise and applaud this humble resolution by Barr Jimoh Ibrahim to move on believing the president to not only encourage formidable internal mechanisms but also map out strategies to strengthen internal democracy as described, promised and discussed.
Significantly, it is a known fact that Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim CFR PhD had always stood for something over the years to effect his principled desire and vision towards expanding sociopolitical horizon. He is remarkable for keeping his principles on election matters before the court and a lot more legal tussles have been to his favour; whether decision at the Tribunal, Appellate & Supreme Court, he wins.

To have read the withdrawal of suit filed against Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa and APC over the recently conducted Guber primary Election in Ondo State presupposes the INTERVENTION of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu came rife and handy. It must really mean that Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim OFR CFR holds the President in high esteem.

It is now a known fact that Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR would most times resolve dispute or, crisis regardless of party differences. This played out many times between the Governor of Rivers State, Fubura and his estranged political godfather, Nyemso Wike who also is the FCT Minister.

In other circumstances, the President had stepped in and out of several matters bothering on justice and had always implored the right mechanisms of Alternative Dispute Resolution in resolving warring parties to engender peace, harmony and cohesion.

Mr. Aiyedatiwa must therefore remain extremely grateful to the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR who threw down the gauntlet in absolute recognition of the aggrieved aspirant, Jimoh Ibrahim to enter dialogue for probable solutions and peaceable outcome.

In deference to Mr. President, Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim OFR CFR and a Lawyer of many years experience in practice decided to willingly agree, abide and also consent to a formidable resolution initiated by the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. President Tinubu who’s a major financier of the ruling All Progressive Congress where most politicians now thrive and flourish to achieve and manifest their ambitions could not otherwise feign ignorance of the looming implication should the matter before Federal High Court proceed. As such, it is only reasonable and responsible of Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim to honour this remarkable intervention as a birthday gift in commemoration of Mr. President’s one year in office.

Please, note that Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim enjoys the exclusive preserve to withdraw or, discontinue the matter before the Federal High Court. In line with this understanding, naysayers are hereby put on notice that in the best interests of the All Progressive Congress, Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim unconditionally decided to embrace truce initiated by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
I therefore commend Sen Jimoh Ibrahim CFR PhD for uncompromising principles in spite of threat, harassment, intimidation and phony attitudes exhibited during the harrowing period before Mr. President’s wise counsel.

It is the best decision to make in the circumstance and I commend the wisdom and patience of Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR who has been acting true to type.
