Osun Court Orders Woman to Pay ₦150,000 to Boyfriend for Failing to Visit After Collecting Transport Fare

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, disclosed this initiative, emphasizing the government’s focus on transforming the program into a bridge between skill acquisition and sustainable employment. Dr. Yilwatda explained that the revamped N-Power scheme would go beyond training, ensuring that participants are directly connected to job markets and private sector opportunities. This shift is expected to guarantee that the skills acquired under the program translate into meaningful and long-term employment. To support this initiative, over 100,000 items have been procured for distribution to beneficiaries across the country. Additionally, President Tinubu has approved ₦32.7 billion for the implementation of the National Social Investment Program (NSIP) in 2025.

The NSIP will introduce low-interest cooperative cluster credits ranging from ₦300,000 to ₦400,000. These credits are designed to empower small business owners and alleviate poverty, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups such as women and youth. By providing access to these funds, the program seeks to help beneficiaries launch or expand their businesses, thereby improving their livelihoods.

The administration has assured Nigerians that 2025 will be a year of significant progress as it continues to implement economic reforms under the #RenewedHope agenda. The reforms are aimed at driving sustainable development and ensuring that all citizens benefit from the government’s efforts to create a more inclusive and prosperous society.
