Portable calls out Olamide, Davido in fresh IG rant
Portable, the controversial Nigerian singer, has launched a scathing attack on fellow musicians Olamide and Davido in a recent Instagram rant.
In a series of Instagram posts, Portable alleged that Olamide, the founder of YBNL Nation, tried to sabotage his career by using Asake, another artiste on the label, to “tackle” him in the industry.
He accused Olamide of refusing to sign him to his record label. He claimed instead, that Olamide allegedly poached his producer P Klem, promoter Kogbagidi, and dancer Tee Dollar.
The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker expressed his disappointment and hurt over “Olamide’s actions”, which he said were “unfair and ungrateful”.
“Normal normal, you used this boy to tackle me in the industry. You wanted to use him to end my career, that is why I ran to Sango. From Sango I went to Canada, America, and London, I toured everywhere. Now see the person you helped, after you helped him rise, he has left you,” he said.
“He did not say thank you. Olamide Badoo, you should have said I should sign to your record label, you said no. You collected P Klem, my producer. You did not allow him to produce for me anymore. I and P Klem who produced Zazuu never talked. You also collected Kogbagidi, my promoter.
“You also collected my dancer, someone that I trained Tee Dollar. They used him to promote their album. You are already doing too much. The person you even helped is not appreciative of your help but I am still thankful to you. You only gave me a verse and I have been appreciative.
“As you carried Ololade to the top, try to carry me too and see if I would not pass what he has achieved. I started the idea of wearing big shoes and oversized clothes but you told Asake to be wearing them. Asake is a copycat, he started wearing baggy trousers, copying my style. Do you all think it made sense for me to return to Sango? I made it, I am a hero, a king in my hometown. Post your own hometown.”
Portable also took a swipe at Davido, accusing him of stealing his ambassadorial deals.
He claimed that Davido was promoting cryptocurrency, a venture that he had already embarked on. He also questioned Davido’s motives, asking if his father’s wealth was not enough for him.
“My fans, this industry just likes to copy people. I was the one who started promoting crypto, BTC. I also became an ambassador. Come and see Davido, he is already eyeing my glory,” he said.
“Davido, you too are now selling crypto? Is your father’s money not enough for you? You went on to become an ambassador for J Plug. You collected one of my means of survival. You people should go and warn him.
“He came to my DM and IG live when I was in Atlanta, you gave me bad advice, you wanted to lead me astray. Thank God I was smart. They are collecting all my brand deals but they claim to have money with your Ferrari and N100 billion. It is the small money that we are making that you are fighting for with us.”
Portable gained fame in December 2021 with his hit single ‘Zazoo Zeh,’ featuring Olamide and Poco Lee. Since then, he has remained in the public eye for controversial reasons.
