Popular Tiktokker Arrested For Naira Abuse
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Kano State has arrested popular TikTok star Murja Ibrahim Kunya for allegedly spraying money in public, a practice that violates Nigerian laws against Naira abuse and mutilation.
A source within the EFCC confirmed to Freedom Radio Kano that Murja is currently in their custody.
The commission has been cracking down on individuals who throw or spray money at events like parties and birthdays.
Recently, they also arrested other TikTok influencers, including Al’amin G-Fresh and Ashir Idris, for similar offenses.
As of now, neither the EFCC nor Murja Ibrahim Kunya’s legal team has released an official statement on the arrest.
