Polytechnic Student hacked to death in Ondo
A student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO), identified simply as Oluwaseun, has been brutally murdered by unknown persons.
The Hope gathered that Oluwaseun, a student of the Department of Mass Communication, was killed at Opomulero Street in Owo, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
A student of the institution, who requested anonymity, told The Hope that the deceased had barely spent a month on campus as a new student. He was also a course representative and a musician.
“He was a fresher who had spent just three to four weeks on campus. In fact, he was a course representative. It is sad that we lost him. Unfortunately, he was macheted,” the source said.
However, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Samuel Ojo, who confirmed the incident, briefly stated, “It was just unfortunate.”
