Policemen, others scamper for safety as bees dislodge crowd at Alaafin’s Palace
The Palace of the departed Alaafin of Oyo on Saturday became a rowdy scene when a swarm of bees chased out the mourners from the palace.
The bees reportedly came out suddenly and start chasing out the mourners, who had gathered at the palace to register their condolence over the demise of the late Oyo monarch.
Among people sighted scampering for safety were policemen who were inside the Palace Court to maintain peace and order, few of them were stung beyond control as they initially refused to run away from the spot.
Also sighted running away from the palace over the attack of bees were aged women and men, youths, underaged children, journalists and others and they were sighted with a bunch of leaves using for protection against bees’ sting.
