Police arrest Top ex-commissioner
A former Commissioner in Kaduna State during the Nasir El-Rufai administration, Jafaru Ibrahim Sani, has reportedly been arrested by security operatives in Kaduna.
Details of his arrest and trial remain unclear, but sources close to him, who requested anonymity, claimed he was taken to court by security operatives and later moved to a correctional facility.
“Jafaru was taken into custody around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday after leaving his house. He was later taken to court and subsequently remanded.
“No reason was given for his arrest. He was among the six former commissioners who left the All Progressives Congress (APC) after El-Rufai resigned from the party,” a source said.
“We do not know the reason for his arrest or the charges against him, but he was taken by uniformed security personnel and moved to court. We believe he is now in prison,” the source added.
The Kaduna State Police Command has yet to respond to inquiries regarding the arrest.
