Police arrest Teacher for defiling 17-year-old Girl since she was 12
Operatives of the Lagos State Police has apprehended a Lagos State-based teacher, Gbolahan Osinusi, for allegedly continuously assaulting a 17-year-old girl since she was 12 years old.
According to the Lagos State police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, while confirming the incident to Nigerian Tribune disclosed that the 42-year-old teacher allegedly bought abortion pills for the teenager multiple times during the period of the assault.
He disclosed that a case of defilement and abortion was transferred from Festac Division to the Gender Unit of the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, the State capital on September 30, 2024.
The complainant claimed that Gbolahan who was a teacher at a school in Ketu-Epe area of the State, and also the guardian to her 12-year-old girl, had been having sexually assaulting her since she was 12 years old until December 2023, when she was 17 years old.
The complainant added that Gbolahan compelled the minor to swear an oath not to disclose the defilement to anyone or else she would lose her life.
He also bought an abortion drug for her from a nurse named Mariam Fatolu.
Gbolahan has been charged to court, while Mariam Fatolu is currently admitted for medical attention at General Hospital Ketu-Epe.
He also added that she will also be charged soon too.
