Yesterday, the Orlu zonal women leader of All Progressives Congress(APC) under the leadership of Hon.Mrs. Dorathy Egbule with her predecessor Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Ihemdi and Hon. Mrs. Jenny Rachael Okonkwo (Iron Lady), accompanied by all LGA women leaders of the twelve local government Areas of Orlu zone visited their Zonal Chairman Hon. High Chief Canice Moore Nwachukwu (Omeogo) in his office at APC Secretariat Okigwe road, Owerri.
The women leaders said their visit is to thank and support Omeogo for his great wisdom and leadership style in which he has been piloting the affairs of the party in Orlu zone. They also showed solidarity and unalloyed support to the governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma and the 3R government.
Omeogo in his usual manner expressed his happiness over their visit, while admonishing them to be of good behaviour, saying that the good things they do today may be an open door for them tomorrow.
He further assured them of his maximum corporation and collaboration in making sure APC as the ruling party is stronger and strengthened in Orlu zone and Imo State, at Large.
Omeogo who many refer as master of synergy, advised them to see a way of collaborating and synergizing with other zones in supporting Governor Hope Uzodimma, for the unity and progress of APC in Imo State.
He assured them of transparency, accountability and good partnership in his office as Orlu zonal chairman of APC. “Open your door for more people to come in to the party because politics is a game of number” He said.
Earlier, the woman leaders speaking through their leader, who is the zonal women leader, Hon. Dorathy Egbule explained the reason for their solidarity visit to be in appreciation of Omeogo’s invaluable contributions to the numerous lofty heights attained by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
According to them, despite the intrigues of detractors , Omeogo’s unwavering support and encouragement helped the Governor to remain focused and wade through the storm of insecurity which enemies of the 3R government wanted to use to distract the Governor from focusing on his well structured development oriented projects.
“Sir, we are here to pledge our unalloyed and indefatigable support of the APC women across Orlu zone. Without mincing words, we wish to reassure His Excellency that the APC women from Orlu zone will team up with APC women wings from other Senatorial zones in Imo State to ensure that all the shared prosperity goals of His Excellency are fully actualized as enshrined in the 3R mantra of Rehabilitation Reconstruction and Recovery. Once more, we pledge our unflinching support and loyalty to His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma and to you our zonal chairman” they asserted.
Adding her voice, the former Senior Special assistant on public Relations Orlu Zone, who is the immediate past zonal Leader of Orlu APC women leaders commended Gov. Uzodimma for his fatherly approach in resolving insecurity in Imo State, while affirming their total support without reservations.
Also, in her vote of thanks, she appreciated Omeogo on behalf of other women while praying to God to give Senator Hope Uzodimma more wisdom and strength to led Imo State to the promise land.
