ONE YEAR IN OFFICE : 22 REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENTS OF SENATOR ADEGBONMIRE IN ONE YEAR

The Distinguished Senator representing Ondo Central, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire (SAN), was inaugurated as a member of the 10th National Assembly one year ago.
It is his first year in office and he has changed the narrative with his visionary leadership, and distinguished himself as the people’s Senator. The 6 local governments of Ondo Central, namely Akure North, Akure South, Idanre, Ifedore, Ondo East and Ondo West, are blessed to have him as their representative in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly
Senator Adegbonmire (SAN), Ọmọ Ẹkun, is on a mission to attract unprecedented development to the senarorial district and improve the living standard of his constituents and their quality of life.
This is his scorecard:
✓ Influencing the inclusion of the dualization of Akure- Ondo- Ore Highway in the 2024 Federal Appropriation Bill which was signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
✓Facilitated the employment of Ondo Central indigenes into federal institutions, which include Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Federal Fire Service, etc.
✓Donation of Multi Million Naira Digital Library to NBA Akure Branch.
✓ Donated funds for the procurement of transformer for Bagbe Community, and several other communities in Ondo West local government.
✓ Grading and Maintenance of 30km Oke-Iya Community Road along Ijoka in Akure South local government. A road that has long been abadoned by the state government, thereby bringing untold hardship to landlords and residents of the area.
✓Grading and Maintenance of Abo -Oluwa Ijigba 2 Community Road in Akure South.
✓Grading and Maintenance of old Board Road, Oda Community in Akure South.
✓Renovation of LA Primary School Erinla, Ondo West local government.
✓ Procurement of JAMB-UTME forms for over 300 students with scholarships for two best performing students (male and female) in each of the six LGAs.
✓ Distribution of hundreds of bags of fertilizer to Farmers Association in Ondo State as part of his activities to boost agricultural production and food sufficiency in constituency and the state in general.
✓ Distribution of Federal Government palliative rice to his constituents across the 6 local governments. The palliative rice which he facilitated was distributed to various interest groups, Christian and Muslim Communities to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal.
✓ Payment of tuition fees of Ondo Central Law graduates in Nigerian Law Schools.
✓ Payment of school fees of several students in both primary and secondary schools across the senatorial district.
✓ Payment of hospital bills of several of his constituents

✓ Chairman, Senate Committee on Agriculture Colleges and Institutions.
✓ Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters.
✓ Sen. Adeniyi Adegbonmire is a member of the 13 High Wired Committee of the Senate which include: Constitution Amendment, Finance, Rules and Business, Airforce , Interior, Works, Ethics, Code of Conduct and Petition among others.
✓ Member of 43 Adhoc Committee to conduct a comprehensive review of the 1999 constitution.
✓ Chairman of the Senate Committee to probe the activities of the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Company Ltd.
Senator Adegbonmire will continue to work diligently to attract federal presence to Ondo Central by partnering relevant government agencies, and also ensure that robust legislation is made for the betterment of his constitients, and other Nigerians. With Ọmọ Ẹkun, the future looks very bright for our senatorial district.
