The PDP agent, therefore, challenged the INEC official to bring out her record for proper cross-checking.

An agent of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has accused an official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of writing an incorrect result on the official sheet in the ongoing Ondo State governorship election.

 

In a video posted on X by TheCable, the party agent was heard emphatically saying the INEC official recorded a different version of result from what he and other party agents calculated.

 

The PDP agent, therefore, challenged the INEC official to bring out her record for proper cross-checking.

 

“I said let’s do it together. What she wrote(on the official result sheet) is quite different from mine,” the party agent said.

SaharaReporters had reported that results of the ongoing governorship election in Ondo State had started to trickle in.

 

Results in many other polling units have been counted with the process in other places still ongoing.

 

INEC is expected to announce a winner for the election after completion of all collation processes and exercises.

 

Already the PDP candidate has alleged bias in the conduct of the election.

 

He had expressed concerns over the electoral process after casting his vote at Apoi Ward 11, Unit 004 in Ese-Odo Local Government Area.

 

 

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Lucky Aiyedatiwa had won his polling unit in his bid to secure a full-term election.

 

SaharaReporters earlier reported how the APC flag bearer voted at his polling unit 005, Ward 4, Obenla, in the Ilaje Local Government Area.

 

It was learnt that he eventually won the polling units with the highest votes cast.

 

He scored 128 votes while his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), scoring three votes.

 

Meanwhile, Agboola Ajayi had also won his polling unit.

 

Ajayi who had earlier voiced his disappointment with the electoral process after casting his vote at Apoi Ward 02, Unit 004 in Kiribo, Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State scored 194 votes out of 204 accredited votes.

 

The incumbent governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, scored 3 votes to come a distant second, while the ZLP candidate got one vote.
