Ondo Teacher slumps ,dies after three days fasting

Report says a secondary school teacher and fifty nine year old woman identified as Victoria Omoaare has slumped and died in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state.

The woman was said to have alighted from a private car to urinate at some meters after the abattoir, along the Ekiti State University Ado Ekiti.

Narrating the incident, a lecturer in the Faculty of Agricultural Science in EKSU from whose car the woman alighted, Mr. Orimaye Oluwafemi said he was going to EkSU with the woman when the ugly incident occurred.

Oluwafemi said he was going to the school to fetch some water leaf in his farm and withdraw some money through ATM when the woman who was staying at his residence and another student there, opted to follow him.

He explained that it was when he decided to stop by the road to take a photograph of a particular tree he could use for a thesis he was writing that the woman decided to urinate in a nearby bush but having waited for her return for about five minutes that he, with the student in his car went to check on the woman only to discover that had slumped and died.

According to Oluwafemi, the Sosan Akoko born woman was a teacher at Adegbola Memorial High School, Akure in Ondo state and had been staying in his residence in Ado Ekiti before coronavirus case was confirmed in Ekiti.

He however said he didnā€™t know any of her family members.

ā€œThe unmarried woman just finished her PHD course and recently complained about abdominal pain the second day after she finished fasting for three days.ā€

Some medical experts and security officers who visited the scene of the incident claimed that though, the death might not be linked to COVID-19 pandemic, autopsy would be carried out on the corpse to ascertain the health condition that claimed the life of the woman.

The womanā€™s corpse had been taken to the Ekiti State Teaching Hospitalā€™s morgue in Ado Ekiti.
