Yesterday, Wednesday, November 27, the Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Emergency Response, Hon. (Prince) Wellington Oriade Adebawo honoured the invitation of the state Ministry of Physical Planning. The meeting, which was held at the Ministry’s office, provided a platform for robust discussions on how the two offices could work together seamlessly.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Physical Planning and the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response engaged in a thorough discourse on their respective roles and responsibilities. They identified potential areas of clash and brainstormed ways to avoid them, ensuring that their duties are discharged efficiently.

The meeting also focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration between the two offices. Hon. Adebawo emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation in achieving the state government’s goals. He noted that by working together, they could leverage each other’s strengths and expertise to deliver better services to the people of Ondo State.

The Commissioner for Physical Planning, who was represented by TPL Tofowomo, expressed appreciation to Hon. Adebawo for honouring the invitation of the ministry which provides opportunity to engage with the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response on areas of concern. He noted that the meeting was important in order to avoid any clash of duty as he reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that physical development in the state is carried out in a sustainable and coordinated manner.

Hon. Adebawo and his team also shared their expertise on emergency response and management, highlighting the importance of having a well-coordinated plan in place to mitigate the effects of disasters. They offered to provide training and support to the Ministry’s staff on emergency response procedures.

The meeting was attended by top officials from both the Ministry of Physical Planning and the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response. The discussions were productive and fruitful, with both sides committing to work together to achieve their common goals.

As the meeting drew to a close, Hon. Adebawo thanked the Commissioner, Permanent Secretary and and the staff of the ministry for their cooperation and support. He said that he looked forward to exploring new ways to work together to benefit the people of Ondo State.
