While declaring support for the reelection of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Afolabi lwalewa, has asked some governorship aspirants in the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state to stop calling his phone number for support.
Our heritage reporters, reports that Iwalewa gave this hint on Sunday after touring the ten wards of Irele local government council area of Ondo State to seek the people’s supports for the second term bid of Akeredolu.
While addressing newsmen in Ode Irele town immediately after his visit to all the ten wards, Iwalewa said it becomes necessary to make his position known to all the leaders of the APC and to seek their supports for Akeredolu’s second term so that his good works in Ondo State would continue.
According to Iwalewa, Akeredolu deserves a second term considering his high level of performance in the last three years in office as the state governor.
”I have declared my support for the reelection of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and I came to talk to all the leaders of APC across the ten wards of Irele local government”
”Akeredolu has performed excellently well to deserve a second term considering his high level of performance across the 18 local governments in Ondo State”
”I have dedicated myself for Akeredolu’s second term and I already got the supports of my people from the ten wards of Irele to work for the reelection of Mr. governor.”
”So, all those APC governorship aspirants calling my phone number to seek support should stop calling me because I am for Akeredolu and I have started the work already”, Hon. Iwalewa told newsmen.
Our heritage reporters,report that notable APC leader and party executives from the affected wards visited by Hon. Iwalewa were in attendance during the various meetings held with each of them.
In another development, Hon. lwalewa visited one of the party members, Mr Adesoji Adeboye, who had an accident during the last house of assembly election at Ajagba under Irele local government council.
lwalewa prayed for his quick recovery and also gave little financial assistance. The accident victim was full of appreciation. He was happy for the visit because according to him, Iwalewa was the first among APC leaders in the local government to visit him ever since the unfortunate accident occurred.
Hon lwalewa and his team also visited the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Irele branch, to seek their supports for Akeredolu’s reelection.
During the meeting, governor Akeredolu was commended for his massive road construction across Ondo State as well as the construction of flyover bridge in Ore town, Odigbo local government of Ondo State.
