Ondo Guber : Hon. Kevin Solomon Olaolu begins House to House and grassroots campaign for Aiyedatiwa/Adelami
Hon. Kevin Solomon Olaolu, the Senior Special Assistant on Student Affairs to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has embarked on an intensive four-day house-to-house campaign and ward meetings across the 10 Political Units in his hometown, Ward 1, Afo, Ose Local Government Area. The house to house campaign and units meetings started on Thursday, 7th November – Sunday, 10th November, 2014. The campaign mobilized the community’s 10 polling units, uniting residents under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and reigniting confidence in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership.
The campaign featured the active participation of key political figures and local stakeholders, including the Ward Chairman, Ward Executives, devoted party faithful, and influential political and community leaders. Their collective presence underscored the strategic importance of Afo’s support in the upcoming election, highlighting a unified message to residents: a call to re-elect Governor Aiyedatiwa and sustain his commitment to inclusive governance and progress.
Throughout the campaign, Hon. Kevin emphasized the Governor’s track record of achievements, listing various initiatives that have directly impacted the lives of the people. He assured residents, “Governor Aiyedatiwa has not only listened to your concerns but has acted decisively to address them. Your voices are heard, and your needs are his priority.” His words resonated deeply with the community, who praised the administration for its hands-on approach and responsiveness to the issues affecting the area.
Each day of the campaign witnessed heartfelt exchanges between Hon. Kevin Olaolu and the residents, who openly shared their needs and aspirations. As he met with them, he reassured, “Your requests have been noted, and our Governor is committed to fulfilling each one. This is not just a promise but a bond of trust we hold with you.” His pledge was met with appreciative nods and cheers from residents who lauded the administration’s dedication to inclusive and community-oriented governance.
Among the community, a notable sentiment of pride emerged over the Governor’s appointment of their own son as the SSA on Student Affairs. The gesture was interpreted by many as recognition of Afo’s potential and contribution to Ondo State. “This is a government that values its people, one that has appointed our own to serve at the highest levels. Our loyalty is to APC and Governor Aiyedatiwa because he is working with us, not just for us.”

Community members echoed their support for the APC, with a promise to deliver an overwhelming majority for the Governor in Afo, across the 10 polling units. “Voting for Mr. Governor is a vote for continued progress and inclusion. We have seen the difference his leadership has made, and we are confident in what lies ahead under his stewardship,” the Youth leader stated.
The SSA’s interactions also extended to local women’s and youth groups, whose leaders expressed gratitude for the administration’s focus on empowerment and sustainable development. Addressing the gathering, the SSA remarked, “We are building a future where every member of our community has a voice and a stake. Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision is one of unity and shared prosperity, and I am here to ensure that Afo remains part of this journey.”
The campaign culminated with a strong declaration of support from the residents. In a moment of solidarity, they pledged, “Our votes will go solely to APC. No other party has shown this level of commitment to us, and we stand behind the Governor’s re-election bid with absolute conviction.” This proclamation was met with applause, and chants of support for Governor Aiyedatiwa and the APC echoed through the streets of Afo, sealing the community’s commitment to the party.
