Ondo Governor threatens total lockdown on confirmation of 4th Coronavirus case
Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu
Following the third confirmed case of COVID-19 in Ondo State, the Government has imposed a curfew from 7am to 7pm with effect from Tuesday, April 14 until further notice.
The Governor who gave this directive this Tuesday while addressing journalists said the step is to curb further spread of the virus.
He threatened to declare a total lockdown of the state if another Coronavirus case is discovered.
Akeredolu clarified that the third case was not a member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC but an employee of the Nigeria Army Clinic that served there in 2017.
About 10 persons are currently under isolation at the State Infectious Disease Centre.
