Ondo Government To Begin Safety Inspection Across All Schools in the state
The special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo state on Emergency Response, Hon. Oriade Adebawo Wellington has revealed that the state emergency team is fully prepared for safety inspection across schools in the eighteen local Government areas of the state.
The inspection which he described as operation safe Ondo students is birthed to ensure that all schools in the state ranging from primary to tertiary institutions, private and public schools are been exposed to safety precautions and ascertain availability of safety tools.
According to Hon. Adebawo, we are embarking on this project to ensure that all schools in ondo state are safe from fire disaster and to also propels precautionary plans in all the school to cater for the unexpected.
The inspection is expected to cover both Government owned schools and the private schools, from the southern senatorial district, to the central and lastly to the Northern district of the state, Hon Adebawo stated.
After the inspection, we will come up with recommendations from all our report, this recommendation will assist us to know what the schools are lacking and what they need to put in place to avert fire disaster in the school environment.
The dry season is always encountered with fire outbreak, hence we must ensure that our schools are safe especially in a season like this and beyond the season.
We want to urge all schools Heads, principal,Headmaster, Headmistress, proprietors and proprietress to cooperate with our team for smooth inspection to aide substantial and resourceful recommendations After the project.
The Government of Ondo state under the leadership of His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa is determined to make safety of lives and property of the good people of the state a top priority, therefore we must be fully prepared to safe our children from unexpected, the Governor Aide said.
