Omisore Resigned As APC National Secretary? – Lawyer Shares Fresh Fact
Kayode Ajulo, the solicitor representing Senator Iyola Omisore, has stated that the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has not resigned from his position.
Ajulo dismissed the rumors of Omisore’s resignation as baseless and unfounded, pointing out that it would be unlikely for both the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and Omisore to vacate their offices simultaneously.
He affirmed that Omisore would attend the scheduled meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC).
According to Ajulo, Omisore’s resignation, if it were to happen, would be a personal decision and not a result of any coercion, as some quarters have insinuated.
He highlighted that Omisore holds the position of National Secretary in the party that recently ushered in President Bola Tinubu’s new government.
Ajulo expressed Omisore’s pride in the president’s actions and emphasized the mutual confidence between Tinubu, the party, and its members. He further stated that Omisore’s current focus is on stabilizing the political landscape and ensuring the satisfaction of those who supported Tinubu’s emergence and the Nigerian people.
Rumors regarding the alleged resignations of both National Chairman Adamu and Omisore circulated on July 16. The resignation of Adamu has since been confirmed.
Additionally, there were speculations that Omisore had prepared his resignation letter ahead of the National Caucus and National Executive Committee meetings of the party scheduled for July 17.
