Ohanaeze speaks on Uzodimma’s S’Court victory
The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, on Monday, congratulated Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, on Friday’s judgment of the Supreme Court affirming his electoral victory.
The apex court, on Friday, dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, Samuel Anyawu, challenging Uzodimma’s victory in the November 11, 2023 governorship election in Imo State.
In a statement on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary Dr Alex Ogbonnia, Ohanaeze saluted Uzodimma on victory after the long-drawn legal battle.
“A deeper reflection on the Uzodimma trajectory presents the quintessence of God’s mysteries: ‘I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion’. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy.
“Beyond the foregoing Lord’s assertions is the Uzodimma pragmatic vision, incredible prospectus and awesome social skills,” Ohanaeze noted.
The organisation praised the governor for “his uncommonly large heart, audacious achievements, friendly finesse and extraordinary perseverance in overcoming the seemingly insurmountable obstacles.”
