Ohaji Equity Mandate condemns attack on Chief Charles Orie, Says Next Generation will pay huge price for Goodluck Opiah Rascality
OPIAH QUESTIONED THE GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE, SERIALLY DESTROYED HIM THROUGH THE PUBLICITY SECRETARY OF THE APC IN THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA AS NOT DEVELOPING THE OIL PRODUCING AREAS OF IMO STATE.
RE:MR. CHARLES ORIE ( MD ISOPADEC ) : A REIGN OF NEGLECT AND CONTROVERSY OVER OHAJI EGBEMA AND OGUTA LGAs :
REJOINDER AND CLARIFICATIONS.
The peaceful political atmosphere in the Ohaji / Egbema Local Government Area has become so feverishly charged following the combustible dispositions of some hirelings and their instigators over which divide or zone produces the next Chairman of the Council. This normal political activity has become blown into disproportionate dimensions as a result of the conquest mentality and mendacity of a ” wannabe writer ” and his over – indulged paymaster and instigator, Chief Goodluck Nanah Opiah.
The attention of the leadership of the OHAJI EQUITY MANDATE has been drawn to a ridiculous article under circulation, deliberately deployed to smear the reputation of Chief Charles Orie both in official and personal capacities ; lure the Ohaji Nation and her people into open confrontations with their Egbema brothers ; cause disaffection in the Awarra Court Area ; expose the Governor of Imo State, Chief Hope Uzodinma to ridicule and opprobrium as responsible for the underdevelopment of the Oil Producing Areas of Imo State ; and malign the integrity of one of the respected personalities in the Ohaji Nation and the Awarra Court Area especially, Nze Dimkpa Enyia . Obviously, this diatribe ascribed to one Mr. Aniabor Progress Ndubuisi would not have attracted a rejoinder or further clarifications, but for four reasons based on the issues raised in the ill – conceived commentary. Shamefully disgusting is the fact that the author of the said commentary is the current Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) of the Ohaji / Egbema Local Government Area, and hails from the Abacheke Village of Egbema ( village of Opiah who is also the owner of APC ) ; this exposes the misguided writer and his minder / financier.
The increased and sustained attacks on Chief Charles Orie as serially promoted draws from his belief that for equity and justice and fairness, the position of the Council Chairman of the Ohaji / Egbema Local Government Area should be domiciled in the Ohaji Nation, and further to the deprived zone of the Awarra Court Area, which area remains the most devastated and marginalized not minding the huge human and material resources located in the communities of the zone. This belief of Chief Charles Orie received considerations, and validations from the critical stakeholders and strategic political operators across the divergent political dispositions as well as the varying thoughts. Regrettably, Chief Goodluck Nanah Opiah thinks otherwise in this regard as he insists on producing the Chairman from the Egbema divide which position has remained in Egbema since 2019 both in the shortlived tenure of Chief Emeka Ihedioha and the first term of Governor Uzodinma, and still counting through the current appointment of a Sole Administrator, an Egbema person.
Chief Goodluck Opiah who prides himself as the owner of the Ohaji / Egbema Local Government Area, emboldened by his petty sense of ownership of the political party ( APC ) in the various Wards of the Local Government Area. Suffice it to say that Opiah as a successful politician today draws from his second term as a State Legislator as he emerged the Hon. Speaker. But Opiah heartlessly forgot how Chief Charles Orie produced his political life – line as Opiah failed woefully in the primary election of the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP ) in 2007. The political masterstroke of Chief Charles Orie through Chief Hope Uzodinma brought Opiah into greater political glory laced in ingratitude to his countless benefactors.
Again, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu ( Aha Eji Aga Mba of Igboland) has not held any elective position in Nigeria, yet he is the political Boss and Leader to even governors and other categories of public office holders . No doubts, Opiah may have become whatever chance and time placed on his political path without regard to his very poor background and upbringing, Chief Charles Orie remains his political benefactor and leader since 2007, and even before then.
The diatribe ascribed to one Mr. Aniabor Progress Ndubuisi as approved by Goodluck Opiah against Governor Uzodinma and the Managing Director of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission ( Isopadec ) dwelt on petty comparison between Opiah and Orie. For the records, Chief Charles Orie was adorably distinctive in successes and breakthroughs long before Chief Goodluck Nanah Opiah dreamt of politics. Before 1992, Chief Charles Orie had built and commissioned his aristocratic country home in Umuokanne when Opiah was clearly a labourer at the SANZOR ENTERPRISES of the late His Royal Majesty, Eze SNA Uzor ( Nzeobi Egbema ). It is also incontrovertible that the magnificent residence of Chief Charles Orie in Owerri was built and commissioned before his appointment as the Managing Director of the Commission while Opiah lived in an uncompleted bungalow in his Abacheke Village of Egbema before becoming super wealthy as he countlessly brags through diversion and conversion of public funds, especially from the Isopadec upon the suspicious demise of the then Executive Chairman of the Commission, the Nzeobi Egbema. The people moans silently and fearfully on what actually caused the sudden death of HRM Eze SNA Uzor ( Nzeobi Egbema ) , but the sicilies know themselves. Orie is million miles beyond Opiah with or without political appointments.
The Governor of Imo State was serially destroyed by the Publicity Secretary of the APC in the Local Government Area as not developing the Oil Producing Areas of Imo State. The allegations of criminal diversions and conversions against the Managing Director of the Commission are subtle attacks on the Governor funded and instigated by Chief Goodluck Nanah Opiah as he appears to be losing grip of the leprous levers of relevance in regard to the evolving drama associated with the proposed Council Elections in Imo State.
As a group therefore, we cannot speak for the Governor or the Government of Imo State as so criminally serialized in sheepish desperation for continued political grip of the Ohaji / Egbema Local Government Area .
The dubious article credited to the errand boy of Goodluck Nanah Opiah questioned the accomplishments of Chief Charles Orie as the Managing Director of the Commission. Without sounding grandiloquent, the signature projects of the three world – class hospitals in the three Oil Producing Local Government Areas of Imo State as executed, equipped and commissioned, together with other verifiable projects and programmes evenly distributed according to the approved template by the State Government , speak elegantly about the vision and the passion for development and empowerment by Chief Charles Orie. To reel out further details in this regard, would amount to dignifying the diatribe, including the writer and his minder / financier, Chief Goodluck Opiah.
Another infantile attempt to insult Chief Charles Orie is the allegation of obstructing development in the Awarra Court Area of Ohaji by frustrating the programs, policies and the proposed projects for the development and empowerment of the people. This is the most infantile as everyone knows in notorious proportions that Goodluck Opiah cunningly hijacked these oil and gas projects, including their beneficial derivables as he mindlessly imposed his cronies as the executive members of the various Town Union Organizations upon blackmailing the Traditional Rulers of these Autonomous Communities. In order to perfect his dangerous cynical plots against the Ohaji person in relation to the oil and gas projects in the Ohaji Nation, Opiah surreptitiously condescended from his so deeply prided olympian height to serve as Special Adviser , and later Commissioner for Petroleum which offered him the vantage position to arrest and halt development and empowerment in the oil and gas communities of the Awarra Court Area of Ohaji. During the countdown to the House of Assembly primary election in 2023 , Opiah arrogantly told the leadership of the Awarra Court Area on courtesy visit to him to solicit for support, ” you cannot have economic power as well as political power “. This condemnable disposition of Opiah underscores his wicked machination to kill the commendable decision to allow the Awarra Court Area of Ohaji to produce the next Council Chairman . It is acknowledged that the Abacheke Village of Egbema, the birthplace of Opiah and Aniabor Progress Ndubuisi, is in dire need of peace without opening further arteries to the absence of safety and security within the village. Everyone knows who is being accused of funding the nefarious activities before everything got out of control. Even the Traditional Ruler of the Egbema Kingdom, the King of Opiah’s Autonomous Community, HRM Barr. GOH Ariaga groans in overbearing provocative dispositions by the all – conquering Goodluck Opiah.
Nze Dimkpa Enyia is well prepared to aspire for any elective position within and without the Ohaji / Egbema Local Government Area . It is cowardly by the designers and purveyors of this orchestrated falsehood against Uzodinma / Imo State Government on one hand, and Orie / Isopadec on the other hand, to categorically attempt to diminish the outstanding credentials and capacities of Nze Dimkpa Enyia, possibly to derail his aspirations or cause him to kill his ambition. This cannot be achieved as the people of the Ohaji Nation as well as the Awarra Court Area will make their ultimate decision in choice in due course and time. The appointments as well employments at the commission under Chief Charles Orie, favoured the Awarra Court Area without regrets and grudges.
It is worthwhile to emphasize that Opiah had erroneously considered Isopadec as his personal property at the detriment of the other Oil Producing Communities of Imo State. This is why as the Hon. Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, the three successive Managing Directors of the Commission, namely: HRM Eze SNA Uzor, Hon. Nwabali Isdore, and Chief Alozie Anayo Andy , were all from the immediate Kindred ( Ogbe – Oru ) of Nanah Opiah. In his accustomed greediness and selfishness, Opiah could not consider anyone from the other sides of Egbema for the position of the Managing Director since the Ohaji Nation is a no – goal area. Do these records not expose Opiah as mindlessly divisive without respect for the overwhelming majority of the Ohaji Nation ?
For the purpose of tutelage to Aniabor Progress Ndubuisi and his minder / financier, the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission ( Isopadec ) is an agency established by an enabling statute. The Law establishing the Commission has provisions for the supervisions of the actions, projects, programmes and all activities of the agency. The Governor, the House of Assembly, the Governing Board and the Management Team are recognized as established under the Isopadec Law as layers of supervisions on the general activities as well as the performance of the Managing Director under the Law. Except otherwise proven, Chief Charles Orie as the Managing Director of the Isopadec operates within the limits as well as the administrative windows provided by the State Government. The obvious disdain for truth and facts remained a sore point in the revealed antics, most horrible activities of Goodluck Nanah Opiah through Aniabor Progress Ndubuisi in the advertized attacks.
Overall, the Ohaji person knows who is or are his sworn enemies beyond sponsored diatribes. Unfortunately, there must be a black sheep in every fold for even a Judas Iscariot existed within Jesus and the Apostles. But the people of the Ohaji Nation are resolutely determined to situate Goodluck Opiah in this season, thoroughly demystified without any opportunity again within the Ohaji Nation as the Chairman of Council position heats up. The next generations of the Egbema people will pay the huge price for the continued rascality of Goodluck Nanah Opiah if he continues to regale in forlorn dreams of having conquered the Ohaji person except votes will never count anymore in Nigeria.
