‘Nobody can torment me, I paid for all the governorship forms’ — former Governor expresses fear over looming fight with successor
Nyesom-Wike, former governor of Rivers State, has said that nobody can torment him.
Wike, who expressed disappointment, said he has read on newspapers how some governors are already tormenting their predecessors.
He said: “Ask my colleagues how they feel when their choice or their party candidates didn’t make it as their successor.
When I read on the pages of newspapers, even those who have not been sworn in, just governor elects, are tormenting their predecessors. They have not been sworn in; they are just answering the governor elect.
“You can imagine that and see where I am; nobody is tormenting me.
The point is that having a calm mind and not having the mind that, after eight years in government, you will still have another problem is a reason to thank God. I paid for all the governorship forms in this state; nobody can say he paid for any form to run for governor.”.Ex-Gov. Wike said
