NNPP sends strong message to Unseat President Tinubu In 2027 Over ‘Anti-Masses Policies’

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has issued a warning to President Bola Tinubu, predicting a sweeping electoral defeat in 2027 if his administration continues implementing “anti-people policies.”
Speaking at a press briefing in Kano State on Thursday, the NNPP’s Kano State Chairman, Hashimu Dungurawa, accused Tinubu of introducing unfriendly policies that have alienated Nigerians since he assumed office on May 29, 2023.
“With your unfriendly anti-masses policies and your stance on them, just prepare for defeat in the next general elections. You either change them, or we Nigerians will collectively change you,” Dungurawa said.
He expressed confidence in the NNPP’s ability to clinch victory across all 36 states, including the presidential seat, in the forthcoming elections.
Dungurawa further criticised Tinubu’s policy direction, stating, “From the podium on May 29, 2023, President Tinubu started reeling out anti-masses policies as if Nigerians had stepped on his toes. He kept slamming such unfriendly policies on us up till today.”
He assured Nigerians that the NNPP, under the leadership of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is prepared to offer alternative governance.
“With these challenges and many more deliberately created by the APC-led government, it is just a matter of time. We will certainly ensure that Tinubu is out in 2027 and Kwankwaso, a true democrat, steps in,” Dungurawa said.
Dungurawa disclosed the NNPP’s growing influence, citing the establishment of offices and party structures across states and local governments nationwide.
He described this expansion as evidence of the party’s readiness to secure both state and federal positions in 2027.
“The NNPP recorded tremendous successes in 2024 and is on course to achieve even more in 2025,” he remarked.
Commending Kano State’s progress under NNPP leadership, Dungurawa stated, “We are fortunate to have a God-fearing governor who has restructured Kano State in terms of infrastructure, empowerment, and human development.
“Kano can now compete favorably with any modern city globally, especially with the state-of-the-art facilities available in both metropolitan and rural areas.”
Dungurawa also expressed concerns about the alleged plans by the Nigerian government to impose a one-party system, describing it as the most significant challenge facing the NNPP.
