NIPOST Staff Dare Tinubu, Reject CEO Appointed, Shut Down Head Office (DETAILS)
Employees of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) have staged a protest at the service’s headquarters in Abuja, expressing their discontent with the appointment of Tola Odeyemi as the Chief Executive Officer/Post Master General.
Presidential spokesman Chief Ajuri Ngelale recently announced that President Bola Tinubu had made leadership changes in various communication agencies, including NIPOST.
However, shortly after Odeyemi’s appointment was made public, there were reports suggesting that Adeyemi Adepoju, the previously dismissed Post Master-General, had been reinstated.
In a widely circulated video, Adepoju was seen addressing some workers who asserted that Tinubu had reinstalled him.
On Monday, the protesting employees prevented the newly appointed CEO of NIPOST from entering the premises, asserting that her appointment went against their preferences.
The workers, in support of Adepoju, voiced their solidarity through chants and displayed placards.
