Nigerian youths are not paupers, Mr Macaroni kicks against comment from FPRO
Actor and activist, Adebowale Adedayo, also known as Mr Macaroni, strongly criticised a statement made by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, asserting that Nigerian youths are not pauper.
This comes after the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Saturday, September 30, shared an image of a Deputy Superintendent of Police holding her phone as he described her as “intelligent” and “beautiful”.
Adejobi wrote: “We have beautiful and intelligent ones in the force. This is DSP David Victoria, secretary to the IGP. Happy weekend. Ire o.”
Replying to the image, an X user #Akint0mide wrote: “A civil servant (DSP) with a phone worth close to a million. lol. Ire o”
Defending how she can afford such an expensive phone, Adejobi wrote: “Police officers are not paupers. Withdraw your statement. It’s ridiculous to us to say a DSP can’t use Samsung Fold 2…You need to reason straight and be objective. Do you know what it is to be a DSP?”
