Nigerian University Graduating Students From All Forms Of Sign-Out Celebrations

In a statement signed by Dean, Student Affairs, Prof. S.M. Ewugi, on Monday, the university said its decision followed the recent misconduct by students on campus during the unauthorised celebrations.

The Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) University, Lapai, Niger State, has imposed a ban on all graduating students from holding sign-out celebrations.

In a statement signed by Dean, Student Affairs, Prof. S.M. Ewugi, on Monday, the university said its decision followed the recent misconduct by students on campus during the unauthorised celebrations.

“The University Management has therefore strictly prohibited any form of these celebrations within and around the university premises. Students are required to adhere to this new rule to maintain order and discipline on campus,” the authorities noted.

The statement added, “The attention of Management has been drawn to misconduct by the graduating students on Campus in the name of signing out. Induct.

“As a result of these actions of the students, the University Management has banned all forms of these unauthorised celebrations and jubilation within and around the University premises in the name of signing out.

“Note: All students are therefore required to abide by these rules and regulations that foster their stay in the University.”
