In a statement on Thursday on their X handle, the community appealed for funds to cover repatriation, funeral expenses, and ongoing support for Kene’s wife and children as they navigate this difficult time.
The statement reads, “On 4/11/2024, Kene, a Nigerian in the UK tragically passed away, leaving behind his wife and two young children, just 3 months and 2 years old.
“This GoFundMe aims to help ease the financial strain on his family, covering repatriation, funeral expenses, and ongoing support for his wife and children as they navigate this unimaginable time.”
“Please support if you can, and share to help bring comfort to his loved ones in their time of need,” they added.
