NDDC Chairman’s Facebook account cloned, Instagram hacked – Media aide
The Chairman of the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Mr Chiedu Ebie has warned that his Facebook account has been cloned and Instagram hacked by suspected hackers.
He made this known in a statement released by his media aide, Mr Jerome Utomi, urging all that the commission’s chairman will not take responsibility for any transaction with those behind the cybercrime.
His statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that the Instagram account of Mr. Chiedu Ebie, Chairman, Governing Board of Niger Development (NDDC), has been hacked by a yet to be identified individual(s).
“Also, his Facebook Account has been cloned by fraudulent persons seeking to lure unsuspecting persons into non-existent contractual obligations.
“As efforts are ongoing to have the compromised accounts recovered, I hereby advise the general public to avoid entering into any form of communication or transaction with these faceless and dubious scammers.
“Again, while the Chairman will assume no responsibility or liability for any error (s) arising from any involvement in unauthorized communication/encounters with the aforementioned platforms, the general public will be duly notified as soon as the account is recovered and secured.”
