NBTE ACCREDITATION: PROF. OKORONDU ASSURES ICONS ORLU OF GOVERNMENT’S TOTAL SUPPORT

As the Imo State College of Nursing Sciences (ICONS), Orlu prepares to host the accreditation team of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) soon, the state government has assured of her continued assistance to reposition the college and secure the board’s imprimatur.
Addressing the ICONS Management who took him on tour of critical facilities that requires prompt repair and upgrade, the Commissioner for Education, Imo state Prof. Sylvester Ifunanya Okorondu maintained that nursing education is a key area that needs government steady intervention for optimum output.
He advised the school authority to articulate all that is needed and submit through his ministry for immediate action, saying that the government of shared prosperity is ever ready to do the needful, once it is for the utmost betterment of our education system. He stressed that Imo state will always crave for excellence in all sectors, so as to be at par with other states.
In her speech, the Provost of the College Mrs. Hannah Offor thanked the Commissioner and his team for deeming it necessary to visit the school to have first hand information on the current state of the institution for swift action.
